Shopaholic’s Top 1000 Websites

Posted in Uncategorized on April 5, 2009 by au13

This book woke me up this morning. I saw it in an ad and it made me get up and check it out. 1000 websites?? I couldnt believe it. I only go to at least 15 websites to shop! I am definitely missing out! So I looked for the book and found that its a book of shopping websites, not only for shoes, bags or clothes. But also for other stuff like candles, food, flowers, wedding needs or stuff for the home. It also includes reviews about the websites. Most of the sites are international because I noticed tons of “”. I may not be rushing to buy this, but if i run into it in a bookstore, Id definitely spend time checking it out.

Abercrombie Dress

Posted in Uncategorized on April 5, 2009 by au13

Every  summer, I would swear I’d start wearing dresses. But most of the places I go to, dont require me to look girly.  I cant wear a dress on a rollercoaster or if i have to sit in the bleachers. And Im the type of a person who’s uncomfortable wearing a dress because of fear of wind blowing in my direction and lifting my skirt/dress up in utmost humiliation. But I am willing to overcome that fear ( i decided i’d wear shorts underneath LOL)

So anyway, I was browsing online at and found this dress on sale for $19.00. This is the right time I guess to start wearing summer dresses. I bought 3 in colors of blue, red and yellow.  If it turns out to be too short, i would wear it with leggings. So Im definitely all set for the summer, my skinny jeans could take break and I can enjoy the comfort, the flowiness and of  a not-so-tight piece of clothing!

Clinique Bonus Gift Time

Posted in Uncategorized on April 5, 2009 by au13

Just when I thought I was done shopping, come Bonus gift time in Clinique. I checked out their new products as well as buy different colors of my favorite items.  The Brush-on-Cream Liner is my favorite of all- Ill never use any other eyeliner except these. And by this time, I have 5 of their colors – Black, Bronze, Grey, Egyptian (greenish black) and my latest acquisition , Black Honey (dark brown). I use them everyday and its long lasting I never had to touch up on the eye part.

One of their newest products is the High Impact Lash Curling Mascara. It promises you that you wouldnt need to use the eyelash curler. I currently use the High Impact Mascara and it gives a lot of volume, but when I tried the new one, it really does curl your lashes (it could be the bent brush or something in its formula) But it definitely works. Compared to the regular High impact mascara which still leaves my lashes sticking out straight when I skip the eyelash curler. So now I get the volume and curling effect and its waterproof. What more could I ask for.

So I’ve tried almost everything in Clinique’s “ALMOST” make up line. The Almost Powder, Almost Lipstick and Almost Make up. The idea is that it feels natural and it doesnt feel like you’re wearing make up on. So its great, I love their products because it has SPF. And now comes Almost Bronzer, haha, who would’ve thought. It comes in light/medium and medium/dark. I chose the light/medium because ive always had problems with Bronzers. The wrong color would made your face look dirty 😛 I think this product works best for me because it really looked natural. And you can layer some more if you needed more color. So my blushes will take a break this summer and the bronzer is definitely my favorite summer make up.

I have such weakness with lip glosses. I know I have more 20 active lip products and I still couldnt resist buying if I see a new one.  But this one is a freebie from Mom when I took her shopping at Clinique. I forgot my lip gloss at that time and I tried on their SuperBalm moisturizing lip gloss and I was amazed how soothing and comfortable it is on the lips. Unlike the Longlast LipGloss which tends to be stickier (coz its supposed to last longer).  So I got in Grapefruit, which is a sheer pink color. And after the gloss is gone, my lips are still supersoft. I definitely love it but I hope I dont get tempted buying the other shades.

Clinique Youth Surge SPF 15 – Their newest Moisturizer thats supposed to slow down the aging. I tried a sample from the Bonus gift and it felt great on the skin. Its not greasy and I woke up with really soft skin in the morning. Its also great under makeup. Too soon to tell if the slow aging promise is true. But I love Clinique products, I know that their products will work great on my skin.

Bonus Gift includes: 2 cosmetic bags, Dramatically Different Moisturizer, Lipstick in Rose Taffy or Ice Bloom, Blushwear Cream Stick in Glow Blush or Rose Blush, Youth Surge SF15 and Lash Doubling Mascara. This is my favorite set so far. I couldnt wait to try the cream blush.

Converse Chuck Taylor Premiere All Star

I never thought I’d own a pink pair of Converse sneakers. LoL Pink? honestly, it was my sister-in-law who found it first. Unfortunately , they didn’t have it in her size and she made me try it on. And I fell in love with it and bought it even though it wasnt on sale (the other shoes there were on sale). Its a pastel pink/white combo and im quite suprised it matches everything. It looked good in jeans as well. Its sort of an neutral color and you’ll hardly notice that its pink, but it really is. Its a nice spring/summer shoes to wear. Although my biggest problem with it is that it gets dirty easily. Othe than that, I love it. Thanks to Ate Sharlyne for suggesting me to buy it.

Oh no! You can never make me wear those ugly wide sandals with holes in it. No way (although i said the same thing about Uggs)! But I have heard many stories that Crocs are very comfy. And Im all about having a comfy feet before style. So I visited their website and discovered that they have other styles other than what I have described above. These two are definitely on my wishlist for this summer and they are Malindi, the ballet flat slingback shoes ($30) and Cabana , the wedge thong sandal ($50). They also come in different colors. Check out their website.

Hello Kitty from MAC Cosmetics

Posted in Uncategorized on April 5, 2009 by au13

So I went gaga over the news that MAC is coming out with these products. I waited till March when it was released and splurged on it despite of the recession of the economy. Who cares? Its Hello Kitty and I havent shopped since Christmas. Here are the things I bought:

Hello Kitty Kouture Sheey Mystery Powder

It is a mystery to me why this powder costs $90, but I bought it anyway. Its a touch up powder like blot powder but its much finer and you dont need to use much (and you wouldnt want it to run out fast). But the special thing about this product is the packaging. It is enclosed in a shiny metallic case – its quite heavy too for a powder) and its encrusted with the Swarovski crystals in the front. Its so pretty, I never thought i’d be able to use it.  I was planning on just staring at it LOL. But it comes with a refill and  a velvet bag so I’m pretty sure Ill be able to treasure it for a long time.

Hello Kitty Lipstick

I love the new shades that they came out with. They even categorized it as Wild or Mild. For the mild version, I bought ‘Cute-ster’. Its a sheer natural pink color perfect for daytime. For the wild version, I bought ‘Most Popular’ which is like a dark pink color perfect for nightime! These are the only two lipsticks I carry with me everyday. And I love the fact that they come in Lustre because it looks very sheer and natural and not too made up.

Hello Kitty Beauty Powder

Beauty powder is an all over color you put as a finishing touch. When you dont feel as glowy as you should be, this should help a lot. Its not like a shimmery highlighter and its not as pigmented as a blush. Its something in between. It comes in peach and pink color.  I bought the Baby Pink for a pinkish glow effect.

Hello Kitty Lip Conditioner

Accck!  I still have the Petting Pink and the Coral is almost brand new. But I couldnt resist. The new colors it came out with are very tempting. PinkFish is a very light Pink and Popster is a very Bright Fushcia Pink. I love them! I just have no idea how to finish all four of them (along with 20 other lip products from other brands) LOL

I was bored one day and decided to visit my cousin who works in the mall (haha like i needed a reason to go to the mall) and his booth is located in front of Bath and Body works. So while waiting for him, I browsed around and saw that the lipglosses are on sale. I bought one for $5 in Watermelon Sorbet. The taste reminded me of the candy called Lipps which I havent had in years…
